How team events are structured
Every team event follows a clear structure so it's obvious who's in, who's leading and whether a spot is confirmed.
- Team size — the fixed number of members per team
- Max teams — how many teams the event can hold in total
- Team name — a name your team registers under
- Captain — the member who represents and manages the team
- Members — everyone registered under that team
- Confirmation state — whether each member has confirmed their spot
- Optional organizer approval — some events require the organizer to approve a team before it's locked in

What kinds of activities can I find?
Ten broad categories covering sport, outdoor, hanging out, fun, board games, gaming, travel, networking, creative and volunteering — and more specific activities within each.
What's the difference between individual and team events?
Individual events are joined solo, like a run or a coffee meetup. Team events involve registering with a fixed team size, a captain and confirmed members, like a pub quiz or a football tournament.
How far in advance are events published?
Events can be published a maximum of 14 days before they start, keeping the activity list current.
Can I register a team on this website?
Not yet — this page explains how team events work conceptually. Registration will be available once VIA MEET launches.
Can businesses organize activities?
Yes. Venues, clubs and communities can organize activities as VIA MEET organizers, alongside everyday organizers.
