This Privacy Policy covers the VIA MEET public website at viameet.app, the launch waitlist and the VIA MEET web app/PWA at app.viameet.app. It also describes the shared account and backend services used by VIA MEET clients.
Who is responsible for your data
The formal legal entity for VIA MEET is still being finalised. Until the confirmed legal identity is published, privacy requests are handled through the contact address below. We do not publish legal-entity details that have not been finalised.
Data we process
Depending on the features you use, VIA MEET may process your email and authentication details, age/18+ confirmation, profile information, interests and preferences, events you create or join, waitlist and attendance state, favorites, groups, connections, messages or other content you choose to submit, reports and blocks, notification preferences and technical identifiers needed to operate the service.
Location data
The web app may request browser location permission for nearby discovery. Location permission is optional and a manual location can be used where available. VIA MEET uses location to calculate relevant nearby activities. Exact private or home-style event locations are protected and are not intended to be exposed to unauthorized users. Map providers may receive technical information needed to display maps and places.
Launch waitlist
If you join the launch waitlist, we process the email address you submit together with the selected platform, 18+ confirmation, contact consent, selected language and submission timestamp. Waitlist records are kept in the existing private waitlist sheet and are used only for VIA MEET launch and closely related contact covered by your consent.
Why we process data
We process data to create and secure accounts, provide discovery and event participation, run social and messaging features, preserve capacity and waitlist integrity, deliver notifications you enable, prevent abuse, respond to support or safety reports and operate the service. Optional analytics, browser location, push notifications and launch outreach are used only when the relevant consent or permission applies.
Service providers
VIA MEET uses service providers needed to operate the product, including Firebase/Google services for authentication, database, storage and backend functions, Cloudflare for the web app, Google Maps Platform for map/location features, Lovable for the public marketing site and Google Sheets for the launch waitlist. These providers may process technical data according to their own terms and data-processing arrangements.
Retention and deletion
Account data is retained while your account is active and is deleted or de-identified through the account-deletion process, subject to limited retention where required for security, fraud prevention or legal obligations. Waitlist data is retained until launch communication is completed or until you withdraw consent or request deletion, whichever applies first.
Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction or deletion of your personal data and may withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You can also change notification and browser permissions through VIA MEET or your device/browser settings. VIA MEET does not sell your personal data.
18+ service
VIA MEET is intended only for adults aged 18 and over. Do not create an account or submit waitlist data if you are under 18.
Withdrawing consent and deleting your data
Registered users can start self-service account deletion from Settings in the VIA MEET web app. If you cannot access your account, or for waitlist/privacy requests, contact us from the email address connected with your request where possible.
