Community Guidelines
VIA MEET only works if members treat each other, organizers and attendees with respect — online and in person. These guidelines apply to everyone, everywhere on the platform.
The basics
Non-negotiable rules for everyone on VIA MEET.
18+ only
VIA MEET is restricted to adults. Misrepresenting your age is a violation.
Respect
Treat every member, organizer and attendee with basic courtesy, regardless of background or identity.
No harassment
Unwanted contact, persistent messaging after being declined, or targeting someone is not tolerated.
No hate
No hate speech, slurs or content that attacks people based on identity, origin, religion or orientation.
No threats
Threats of violence or intimidation, in messages or in person, result in immediate removal.
No impersonation
Do not pretend to be someone else, another organizer, or misrepresent your identity or affiliations.
No illegal activity
Do not use VIA MEET to organize, promote or facilitate anything illegal.
Real-world safety first
Meet in public settings when possible, tell someone your plans, and trust your judgment.
Attendance and organizer responsibility
Discovering an activity is easy; showing up responsibly matters.
Attendee responsibility
If you RSVP to an activity, show up or update your status. Respect the venue, other attendees, and any rules the organizer sets.
Organizer responsibility
Organizers are expected to describe activities accurately, communicate changes promptly, and create a welcoming, safe environment for attendees.
Independent activities
VIA MEET is a discovery platform. Organizers, not VIA MEET, are responsible for running the activities they list.
Reporting a problem
If you experience or witness a violation of these guidelines, report it through the in-app reporting tools once available, or contact us directly using the email below.
Reports are reviewed and may result in warnings, content removal, or account suspension depending on severity.
Emergencies
VIA MEET is not an emergency service. If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
